Rosemary’s Blog

Over the last few months I have experimented with my own writing blog. All the book marketing gurus say you have to build your own web presence. For indie authors, promoting your writing is not just difficult, it is something which does not come naturally and feels almost distasteful. I think it would be useful if Arun Scribes members who are interested could meet up to discuss marketing ideas. Any takers?

Since I returned from Australia my blog has been a way of adding flesh to my books, showing what I learnt, the places visited etc. but will soon begin to explore the journey of my next book, the one you are so kindly listening to and offering your critical ideas and opinions.

Anyway for those interested here is a link to my blog.

haven’t read your book yet but I was very interested in your blog, the descriptions of the locations and personalities that I will come across when I do read it, as well as your general comments about your writing. I am interested in getting together to see how we can help ourselves with the marketing side. I have written a couple of novels based on true events (with some fiction stirred in) and – like you – I’ve not done it for money but because I think the subject matter warrants sharing. So, count me in, please!

You can count me in too, Rosemary, and I’d also like to pick your brains about blogging, which is a murky pool I’ve just dipped my paws into. Or, if you’re going to be pedantic, into which I have just dipped my paws!
